Milwaukee County Official Dies In Michigan Plane Crash: Report
Witnesses say the plane was flying low, and then turned onto its side before hearing the crash, according to one report.
MICHIGAN -- A Milwaukee County official is dead following a report that the plane he was traveling in crashed in Michigan over the Labor Day weekend.
The Mackinac County Sheriff's office initially reported that Ronald S. Dague, 64, of East Troy died in a plane crash that happened just before 10 p.m. Friday near the Mackinac County Airport in Michigan's upper peninsula. According to a media report, Dague was flying from the Mackinac County Airport to Mackinac Island, and witnesses say the plane was flying low, and then turned onto its side before hearing the crash.
Dague was an Assistant District Attorney with the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. He had been with the office since 1992.

His advocacy helped build a safer community for everyone living in Milwaukee County," John Chisholm, Milwaukee County District Attorney said.
According to sheriff's reports, the plane Dague was traveling in crash landed in Lake Huron. A search over the weekend by the U.S. Coast Guard, Mackina County Sheriff's department and Michigan State Police resulted in the discovery of Dague's plane, which broke up when it hit the water, officials said.
Officials identified Dague as the pilot and sole occupant of the plane. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash, and has yet to determine a cause.
