Milwaukee Public Schools would like to thank the thousands of volunteers who make a difference in the lives life of students across the district. Our volunteers take on a variety of tasks including reading books to children, coaching sports teams and overseeing playground activities just to name a few. This school year, over 2,000 volunteers have served over 40,000 hours. This contribution plays an important role in creating an engaging educational environment where students are eager to learn every day!

Each year, volunteers are recognized by the district for their contributions through the Most Valuable Volunteer Award which will take place in April 2020. The award honors individuals who have made a significant difference in the lives of students in the district.
