Milwaukee Police Department Issues Criminal Charges Against Suspect In Fatal Accident Of Unborn Child

If found guilty, Salinas could face up to 132 years, 6 months in prison and fined up to $210,000.

On Friday, June 5, 2020, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued one count of first degree reckless homicide of an unborn child, one count of first degree reckless injury, one count of vehicle operator flee / elude an officer resulting in great bodily harm, one count of hit and run causing great bodily harm, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance against Fernando R. Salinas for his involvement in the accident that caused the death of an unborn child. The incident occurred on Monday, June 1, 2020, at approximately 5:54 p.m., on the 2700 block of W. Highland Boulevard. If found guilty, Salinas could face up to 132 years, 6 months in prison and fined up to $210,000.
