MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police shot and wounded a man who killed a woman during an apparent domestic dispute Tuesday afternoon on Milwaukee's north side, according to police. Later on Tuesday, Walgreens confirmed that the woman was working at their 27th Street location when she was shot and killed.

Authorities said the 51-year-old Milwaukke man fatally shot a 48-year-old woman during the dispute, and then pointed and shot his gun at Milwaukee police. Police chief Alfonso Morales said two officers returned fire, seriously wounding the man.

According to police, one officer was a 38-year-old man with nine years of service, and the other was a 35-year-old man with 15 years of service on the force.
