Milwaukee Police Officers Survive While Under Gunfire During Burglary Call
Milwaukee Police Officers survived an encounter with an armed suspect who shot at them Thursday night. They eventually got their man.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police arrested an apparent burglary suspect Thursday night, but not before a dangerous encounter that resulted in an exchange of gunfire on Milwaukee's streets.
According to Milwaukee police, officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 4500 block of N. 26th Street, on Thursday, November 17th, around 10:25 p.m. As officers arrived, they encountered a suspect who fired a handgun at them.
An officer returned fire but no one was struck. After a brief foot chase the suspect was arrested.

The suspect is a 23-year old Milwaukee man who has an arrest record with Milwaukee Police.
The officers were not injured, the investigation is ongoing, and the case will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
