Milwaukee Police Seek Suspect In Shooting Death Of Attorney
Police said the suspect became involved in an altercation with Jason Cleereman, who was shot to death following the run-in with a bicyclist.

MILWAUKEE, WI – The Milwaukee Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in searching for a man they believe was involved in the shooting death of a popular Milwaukee immigration attorney earlier this week.
The man, whom police officials described as a suspect on Thursday, is believed to be involved in the death of Jason Cleereman, the 54-year-old immigration attorney who was shot following an altercation with a man on a bicycle near Brady St. and Holton St. just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The two men are believed to have come into contact after what witnesses are calling a “traffic mishap”, according to media reports. Police said he was involved in an altercation and fired shots at the victim, which led to the victim’s death.

On Thursday, Milwaukee police released a photo of the suspect, who is described by police as being African American, between the ages of 30 and 35, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds, police said. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded vest, a white T-shirt and jeans. He was riding a dark-colored bicycle and was armed with a gun, police said.
