Milwaukee Student Presents Research at History Conference

Demarias Daniels, of Milwaukee, presented research during the Phi Alpha Theta regional conference at Purdue University.

From Carthage College: Demarias Daniels of Milwaukee, WI, presented research during the Phi Alpha Theta regional conference March 24 at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana.

Daniels gave a presentation titled "'I Got the Heebie Jeebies' Up North: A Look at the Genre of Jazz and the Great Migration in the 20s and 30s".

This undergraduate conference provides a platform for students to share their historical research, as well as to network with peers and professional historians across the Midwest.

Phi Alpha Theta is an honors fraternity for history students. Carthage has had a chapter since the 1960s.
