Milwaukee Woman Struck After Man Grabs Gun In His Sleep: Cops

Police are investigating multiple non-fatal shootings that occurred on Tuesday.

MILWAUKEE, WI – Police are investigating multiple non-fatal shootings that occurred on Tuesday.

On Tuesday around 2 p.m., an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was shot on the 2400 block of S. 17th Street, according to Milwaukee police.

The man went to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was shot in the 1900 block of S. 8th Street. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, the suspect, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man, picked up a handgun in his sleep and subsequently struck the woman. The man was arrested.
