Operation Drive Sober Results In Eight Arrests
Drivers from West Allis, Michigan, Racine, Milwaukee and others were arrested over the weekend.

MILWAUKEE, WI - From the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office: Acting Sheriff Richard R. Schmidt ordered an aggressive Operating While Intoxicated (OWI- drugs and/or alcohol) initiative to rid the Milwaukee County freeway system of intoxicated drivers. This weekend’s Operation Drive Sober initiative from Friday at 4:00 p.m. through today at 6:00 a.m., resulted in the arrest of seven drunken drivers. The average PBT test results were .15.
One repeat offender was arrested: Timothy Chambers, age 32, of Milwaukee, for OWI-2nd.
Seven first-time offenders were taken into custody: Jeffrey Starszak, age 41, of West Allis; Glenn Sward, age 51, of Wetmore, Michigan; Daniel Perez, age 33, of Racine; and Milwaukee residents: Joseph Meyer, age 38; Mariano Burgos-Angel, age 31; Joseph Lapinske, age 45; and Juan Gomez-Contreras, age 37.
