Restaurant Employee Fires Gun At Armed Robbery Suspect: Police

When an armed man tried robbing a restaurant, an employee of the restaurant pulled out his own gun.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Police say a restaurant employee open fired on an armed robbery suspect Saturday in Milwaukee.

According to a WTMJ report, police in Milwaukee were called to the Chicken Palace, in the 3400 block of W. National Ave. at 8 p.m. on a report of an armed robbery.

Police reported that a masked robbery suspect tried to take an entire cash register from the restaurant, when an employee from inside the restaurant, displayed a gun of his own and opened fire on the suspect as he tried fleeing out the restaurant's front door.

According to Milwaukee police, the suspect returned fire, and fled, leaving behind the cash register.

According to a FOX 6 report, the suspect got into a stolen BMW and tried fleeing the scene, but crashed into a utility pole 100 feet away, and then fled on foot, abandoning the car.

Police are currently investigating the crime and are searching for a suspect.
