Several Chances For Snow Coming Up: WI Weather

MILWAUKEE, WI — This weekend will feature several chances for snow in southeastern Wisconsin.

"Light snow is expected to sweep across Wisconsin Saturday night through Sunday," the National Weather Service said. "Accumulations over an inch are possible, with highest chances of that occurring toward central WI. Slick spots on roads are possible Sunday morning."

Here's the week-ahead NWS forecast from the Milwaukee Airport:

Friday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 40. North wind around 10 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Blustery, with a north wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

New Year's Day: Sunny, with a high near 34. Northwest wind around 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 25. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 36.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 23.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.
