The Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce (MMAC) named Darren Fisher of SPEARity™ a Distinguished Honoree at its September 18, 2020 awards program. The category was Pivot Not Panic. A total of 65 companies were included in the program.

SPEARity, a Milwaukee-based consulting firm that specializes in business coaching, executive coaching, and leadership development training, is featured, along with other Distinguished Honorees in BizTimes Media’s September 28, 2020 print and online edition.

Darren Fisher, CEO and Founder, and MMAC honoree, said, “Our clients didn’t panic, they planned. We worked with people in the community who didn’t have access to a coach to help them move from Panic to Pivot.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic started, SPEARity quickly moved its programs to Zoom. It reinvented its longstanding Business Improvement Quarterly event and substantially increased the number of attendees, and Fisher’s MMAC COSBE group increased the frequency of its meetings.

The SPEARity app, a tool that helps users set goals and manage tasks, helped the firm’s clients transition from working in an office to working from home. And Fisher was able to grow his staff, filling one open spot and creating two new positions.

Michael Rampolla, Chief Experience Officer with SPEARity, said, “It was rewarding to help our existing clients and other business owners reposition their service offerings, meet the shifting needs in the market, and achieve a greater success.”

SPEARity partners with organizations to create the processes, competencies, and habits needed to set and achieve goals. Through a combination of executive coaching, business coaching, leadership development training, and technology, business owners learn to create an environment where every member of their team understands the goal, uses the resources, and finds success.
