Suspect Charged In Homicide: Police
A son has been charged in the murder of his father that happened on in the victim's home Aug. 31.
From the Milwaukee Police Department: On Saturday, Aug. 31, Milwaukee police officers investigated a shooting that occurred in the 3200 block of North 24th Place. The suspect in the shooting, Varick C. Choice Jr., was taken into custody on the scene. The victim, Varick C. Choice Sr., sustained multiple gunshot injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he died.
On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued felony charges against Choice Jr. for first degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon. If found guilty, Choice Jr. could be sentenced to 70 years in prison and could be fined up to $25,000.
