Suspect In Triple Shooting Also Involved In Fatal Crash: Police
Police said that a 13-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were struck by gunfire.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities in Milwaukee say that an 19-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested and charged in a triple shooting that ended in a car crash that killed a Milwaukee teen.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, Cashmeir Armstrong has been charged with three counts of recklessly endangering safety for an April 18 incident on Milwaukee's north side.
Police say officers were called to the 4600 block of N. 36th Street on a report of gunshots. A witness told police that a series of arguments began between a group of seven children over a girl who had been jumped.

According to the criminal complaint, the witness said she was about to leave the scene when she saw a black Nissan Maxima pull up in front of them. The witness told police that a man, later identified as Armstrong, pointed a firearm in the direction of the group and began firing several times. The witness also said that a person in a nearby building returned fire.
Police said that a 13-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were struck by gunfire from Armstrong. They were transported to the hospital and treated for their injuries.

After the shooting, police say Armstrong got into a getaway car driven by a friend. That car fled police, and ended up in a crash near 40th Street and North Ave.
Police say an 18-year-old died in that crash after the fleeing vehicle struck a pickup truck and slammed into a school bus.
Armstrong is currently being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on May 15 for his preliminary hearing.
