Swim Classes and Open Swim in a Warm-Water Pool

St. Ann Center offers personalized swim lessons for kids, movement classes for adult & open swim times for the community!

Whether you're looking for a place for your kids to learn to swim, classes to get yourself moving more, or just a place to exercise, consider St. Ann Center's wheelchair-accessible, warm-water pool and hot tub.

The aquatic center offers child swim lessons that feature individual attention in both the group and private lessons. Instructors tailor classes to a child's specific abilities and personality. Lessons include parent-child classes, for babies ages 6 months to 3 years, as well as learn-to-swim classes at three levels, a stroke refresher course and private lessons for children 4 and older. The affordable classes run in 6-week sessions throughout the year. Registration is in person, opening at 8 a.m. Classes are scheduled based on how many sign up for the class. Days and times can vary from session to session. Offerings, schedules and prices are subject to change.

Adult swim movement courses include Warm Water Aerobics -- slower and gentler than traditional aerobics, with movements focusing on increasing flexibility and mobility-- which meets for 45 minutes Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 1 p.m. and costs $6 per class. Also available is Low-Impact Water Aerobics, designed specifically for those with arthritis and related diseases. This class also aims to improve flexibility, stretching and bone density, and meets Tuesdays from 7 to 7:45 p.m. or Thursdays from 2 to 2:45 p.m. It costs $5 per class.

St. Ann Center also offers a monthly Friday Night Family Fun Swim, when kids 2 and younger swim free (and swimmers under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the water. These swims run from 5-7 p.m., so swimmers will need to enter via the aquatic center doors on the west side of the building. For 2018 dates, please see https://stanncenter.org/for-th..
