This week for Throwback Thursday we are highlighting Sergeant Thomas Hines.
Sergeant Hines was appointed to the Milwaukee Police Department in 1995 and was assigned to patrol duties at Districts 5 after graduating from the Milwaukee Police Academy. Having the desire to inspire others, he became a Field Training Officer and taught recruit officers how to conduct thorough investigations and properly interact with the public. He was later assigned to patrol duties at District 7 and the Intelligence Division Anti-Gang Unit. As an officer, he assisted in multiple investigations leading to the arrests of several violent offenders. In 2004, he was promoted to the rank of police sergeant and served in various patrol and administrative capacities, including District 5, District 7 and the Internal Affairs Division. Sergeant Hines is dedicated to the mission of the Milwaukee Police Department and believes, “As civil servants, we must set aside all of our biases and choose our thoughts and actions based solely on moral values rather than personal gain.”
