Top 20 'Fake News' Stories of the 2016 Presidential Election According to Buzzfeed Analysis

WISCONSIN -- According to a new study, "fake news" stories like "Rupaul claims Trump touched him inappropriately in the 1990s" or "Just Read the Law: Hillary is Disqualified from Holding Any Federal Office" got more clicks than than "legitimate" news stories on Facebook during the months prior to the November 2016 Presidential Election.

A new analysis by Buzzfeed, an online news publishing service, the top 20 "fake news" stories generated 8,711,000 shares, reactions, and comments on Facebook - outpacing the top 20 "legitimate" news stories which generated 7,367,000 shares, reactions, and comments on Facebook.
