MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County Sheriff's squad car was stuck by a citizen's vehicle on southbound I41/USH45 south of Hampton Avenue. The deputy had lane three closed due to a motorist in a ditch. The squad’s emergency lights were activated.
The driver of the striking vehicle said she was not able to move over for the stopped squad because of the snow accumulation, and that she hit her brakes too late. She was not injured. The deputy was transported to the hospital for his injuries and released.
The Wauwatosa Police Department handled the crash investigation and issued a citation for unreasonable/imprudent speed to the driver.
