'Wet, Heavy Snow' Expected In WI Tuesday Afternoon: Weather Forecast

WISCONSIN — Central Wisconsin should expect another round of plowable spring snow on Tuesday. Southern Wisconsin will see more rain than snow, but it will be a mess either way.

"Rain changing to wet, heavy snow this afternoon. Winter Storm Warning north of Madison and toward east central WI for 4-8 inches," the National Weather Service said.

A winter weather advisory was issued for Sauk, Dane, Jefferson, Dodge, Washington, and Sheboygan counties where 2-5 inches are expected.

Tuesday: Showers. High near 38. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Rain and snow showers, becoming all snow after 9pm. Low around 32. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Wednesday: Snow showers before 1pm, then rain and snow showers. High near 37. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Rain and snow showers before 4am, then a chance of snow showers. Low around 33. Windy, with a north wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Thursday: A chance of snow before 7am, then a chance of rain and snow between 7am and 1pm, then a slight chance of rain after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
