MILWAUKEE — A snowstorm carrying the potential for anything from a dusting to 4 inches in southeastern and southcentral Wisconsin is set to arrive early Thursday morning. Up to 6 inches of snow could fall in parts north.

The Milwaukee metro area will get less snow because a good chunk of the precipitation will come in the form of rain or a wintry mix. However, "the axis of heaviest snowfall could shift north or south," notes the National Weather Service.
