Winter Storm Warning Issued For Milwaukee, Most Of WI Tuesday

MILWAUKEE — A winter storm warning effective Tuesday has been issued for Milwaukee and most of the state of Wisconsin.

"Heavy wet snow expected," the National Weather Service said.

"Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches for a storm total of 3 to 10 inches. Warmer temperatures and a possible mix with rain will result in the lower amounts for lakeshore areas, with quickly rising amounts farther inland. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph."

Monday Night: Snow, mainly after 11pm. Low around 32. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tuesday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. East wind around 15 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Snow, mainly before 3am. Patchy blowing snow after 10pm. Low around 28. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Breezy, with a northwest wind 10 to 20 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
