1 Dead, 2 Injured In Somers Head-On Car Crash: Kenosha Sheriff
A 71-year-old woman died at the scene of a serious crash on 400 Green Bay Road Sunday evening, the Kenosha County Sheriff said.
SOMERS, WI — A 71-year-old woman from Kenosha died and two others were injured in a car crash on 400 Green Bay Road in Somers Sunday evening, according to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.
The woman was driving a 2000 Buick Century on Old Green Bay Road when she turned southbound into the northbound lanes of Green Bay Road around 7 p.m., the news release said. The Buick was then struck head-on by a 2020 Toyota Camry that was traveling northbound.
The driver of the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner. The front seat passenger was sent to a hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Camry that collided with the Buick was also sent to a local hospital with minor injuries. Authorities found both vehicles with extensive damage.
The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department Detective Bureau is still investigating the crash. Authorities asked anyone with information to call 262-605-5102.
