16-Year-Old Racine Girl Bites Man Who Aided In Her Arrest
A person who came to the aid of Sheriff's deputies was bitten by the 16-year-old female suspect that deputies were pursuing.

RACINE, WI — A person who came to the aid of Sheriff's deputies in Racine was bitten by the 16-year-old female suspect that deputies had been pursuing.
According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, a deputy was on patrol when he saw a vehicle being driven recklessly on S. Memorial Drive just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials said when the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, the 16-year-old girl who was driving accelerated away from authorities. Sheriff's officials said the girl lost control of her vehicle and crashed at the intersection of Hamilton Ave. and Durand Ave. as she was being pursued by law enforcement.

Sheriff's officials say the girl fled her crashed vehicle, only to be apprehended a short time later with the help of a citizen. During a struggle with the girl, the citizen was bitten on the arm. He refused medical treatment for his wound.
According to sheriff's officials, the girl who was arrested was found to have a felony juvenile warrant out for battery by a prisoner. Deputies also learned that the vehicle the girl was driving had been stolen from a person familiar to her.

She is being held in the Racine County Juvenile Detention Center and is facing additional charges of fleeing and eluding an officer, substantial battery, second-degree recklessly endangering safety and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, according to the Racine County Sheriff's office.
Sheriff's officials said a 16-year-old passenger also in the vehicle was treated by rescue personnel for minor injuries and later released.
