15-Year-Old Bradford Student Was Fatally Stabbed in Heart; Suspect Charged

The 15-year-old Kenosha Bradford student stabbed on school grounds on April 25 has died. His assailant has been charged with a homicide.

KENOSHA, WI — A 15-year-old Kenosha Bradford student that was a victim in a stabbing in school grounds has died and the suspect has been charged with homicide.

Timothy Carson, 15, has been charged with second-degree intentional homicide by use of a deadly weapon. He is now being held in the Kenosha County Jail and held on $250,000 bond.

According to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report, the victim, 15-year-old Dezjon Taylor suffered a single stab wound to the heart on Tuesday. He died Friday morning.

School Locked Down Tuesday

Kenosha Bradford High School in Kenosha was in lockdown early Tuesday April 25 morning following a stabbing incident that happened on school grounds.

According to a FOX 6 report, an initial investigation found that a student stabbed another student shortly before 8:30 a.m. A Kenosha Police School Resource Officer at the school intervened and immediately took the suspect into custody.

The Kenosha News is reporting that the victim was a 16-year-old boy, who was stabbed in the chest. Initial reports indicated he was unconscious but breathing.The school was put on lockdown as police and rescue workers rushed to the building.

According to the Kenosha News report, a Flight for Life helicopter was initially called in to land near the school, but that was cancelled and the victim taken by ambulance directly to Kenosha Hospital with a police escort.

According to the report, the suspect is in custody and the weapon has been recovered.

Students were dismissed at 10:30 a.m. as police continue to investigate.
