19-Year-Old Dies In 2-Vehicle Accident: Report

On Friday, authorities in Racine County identified the 19-year-old who died in the crash. An 84-year-old woman was not hurt in the crash.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Racine County say that a 19-year-old Racine man has died in a traffic accident involving an 84-year-old woman from Franksville.

According to a report from the Racine County Sheriff's office, deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident near Highway U and just south of 7 Mile Road at just before 2 p.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, deputies learned that 19-year-old Dylan Pavia was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo when he veered into oncoming traffic and struck a Chrysler Town and Country van driven by an 84-year-old woman from Franksville, the report stated.

According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, after striking the Chrysler Town and Country van, Pavia was ejected from his vehicle, and lay deceased in a nearby field. Deputies on the scene determined that after striking the van, Pavia's vehicle continued rolling several times prior to coming to a stop in the same field.

The 84-year-old female from Franksville who was not injured, officials said.
