2017 Fourth of July Racine Parade, Fireworks Guide

RACINE, WI — Don't miss the Midwest's largest July 4th Parade! The theme for 2017 is "Dreams Come True Under the Red, White and Blue." More than 120 parade entries including live statues, bands, floats, entertainers and more.

The parade starts at the intersections of Goold and Main Streets and runs south down Main Street through Downtown then turns west on 14th Street. Arrive early to get a curbside seat! Pre-parade featuring antique cars starts at 8:45 a.m. Free - donations welcome.

After the parade, head down to North Beach and stake out your favorite spot to watch Racine's spectacular fireworks! Bring along a blanket and a picnic basket and kick back until dusk. The 40-minute fireworks exhibition begins at dusk on July 4th (approximately 9:20 p.m.) The annual fireworks show can be seen from anywhere up and down the Lake Michigan shoreline (and beyond).

Parking

There are several ramps in Downtown Racine that are along the parade route, but beware - street closures due to the parade mean you'll be stuck until the parade has concluded. Your best bet if you need easy in/easy out is to find a spot in a residential neighborhood west of Main St. either north or south of Downtown.

Fireworks

New This Year! Listen to heart-stirring patriotic favorites like the Stars and Stripes Forever, The 1812 Overture, God Bless the USA among others, all synchronized to the FourthFest fireworks show. Tune in to WRJN 1400 am at dusk on Monday, July 4th and lift your fireworks up a notch!

Spectacular fireworks can be viewed anywhere along the shores of Lake Michigan starting at dusk (approx. 9:20 p.m.)
