3-Car Crash In Racine County Sends 3 To Hospital

The driver and two passengers of a sedan, who are all minors, were sent to hospitals, one with serious injuries.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Three were injured in a Tuesday afternoon crash at the intersection of Highway 20 and N. Raynor Avenue in central Racine County, according to a press release. The Racine County Sheriff's Office said dispatchers took several 911 calls about the accident.

It was soon before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when a sedan going south on N. Raynor Avenue failed to yield at a top sign and was hit by a pickup going west on Route 20, the sheriff's office said.

A car which was stopped, waiting to turn to go north on N. Raynor, was also hit as a result of the initial collision.

One minor passenger, who was in the sedan, was airlifted to Children's Hospital for "serious injuries," the sheriff's office said. The other two injured were also minors in the sedan, and were taken to Burlington Memorial for non life-threatening injuries.

The other drivers refused medical transport.

Investigators are withholding all names during the course of the investigation and believe alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
