3-Vehicle Accident Injures 5; Flight For Life Called: Report
Authorities say a three-vehicle accident at County Line Road and Old Green Bay Road resulted in serious injuries.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI -- Authorities say that a three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Mount Pleasant seriously injured five people.
On Thurs. Oct. 4, the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Kenosha Sheriff Department, South Shore Fire Department along with Somers Fire Department responded to the intersection of Old Green Bay Road and County Line Road for a report of a three-vehicle accident where one person was ejected from their vehicle.
Officers investigated and learned that the driver of a sport utility vehicle was headed south on Old Green Bay Road. Authorities said the SUV entered the intersection at Old Green Bay Road and County Line Road on a red light, and hit a work van, which was headed west on County Line Road.

Authorities say the van flipped on its side and ended in the deep ditch on the south side of County Line Road. The SUV continued, striking a third vehicle, which was headed east on County Line Road. The passenger in the white SUV was ejected from the vehicle.
First responders from the Somers Fire Department contacted Flight for Life and both the driver and the passenger of the SUV, who sustained serious injuries. They were flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Authorities say both of the drivers of the other two vehicles, and a passenger were taken by South Shore Fire to Ascension Hospital. Mount Pleasant Officers responded to Froedtert Hospital and Ascension Hospital and reported that none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
