3 Year-Old Shot in The Chest Identified, Suspect Arrested
Police are investigating a fatal shooting involving a 3-year-old boy that happened in Racine on Wednesday morning.

RACINE, WI — Police are investigating a fatal shooting involving a 3-year-old boy that happened in Racine on Wednesday morning.
According to Racine police, officers were called to a home near 18th and Howe at 6:24am for a report of a deceased person.
Upon arrival, the 3-year-old was found in the upper unit of the home.

According to media reports, the name of the 3-year-old is Jeremiah Pitts, and he was found shot in the chest in the second-floor of his two-unit home.
According to police, Wisconsin State Troopers have been called in to aid in the investigation.

Since their initial investigation, Racine Polie have taken one person into custody as a "person of interest" in the incident, which they are considering "more broadly" than just a homicide.
