RACINE, WI — In a quiet northside Racine neighborhood just two blocks from Lake Michigan and a block from the zoo, authorities raided a drug house, which turned up more than 30 pounds of pot and led to the arrest of two Illinois men, authorities say.
On Friday, March 23, just before 3 p.m., authorities say agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit conducted a search warrant at 2037 Erie St in Racine about a marijuana grow operating taking place inside.
Authorities say an investigation dating back to Oct. 2017 led to them learning that the house wasn't occupied, was currently on the market, and was functioning as a marijuana grow house. Agents were conducting surveillance at the residence when two men with Illinois license plates on their vehicles were coming in-and-out of the residence.
