5-Year-Old Child Shot And Killed, Left At Hospital: Police

Police say the child was "dropped off" at a local hospital following the shooting. The two people then left the hospital.

KENOSHA, WI -- Police in Kenosha say a 5-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday afternoon, and that his body was abandoned at a local hospital.

The Kenosha Police Department reported that they were investigating the shooting death of a 5-year-old child, which happened at about 1:43 p.m.

Police in Kenosha said officers were initially contacted by hospital staff of Froedtert South Hospital – Kenosha Campus, located at 6308 8th Ave., after the child was dropped off by two people who left the hospital.

Police said the shooting took place at a residence in the 2000 block of 60th Street.

"The investigation is still very active," officials in Kenosha said.
