8-Year-Old Child Discovers Man Overdosing on Heroin
A man overdosing on Heroin was discovered by an 8-year-old in the basement of the house he was staying at after completing a drug program.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — A man overdosing on Heroin was discovered by an 8-year-old in the basement of the house he was staying at after completing a drug treatment program.
According to police, James Schleicher, of the 2900 block of Shady Lane, was revived with narcan, transported to the hospital, and was later charged with possession of narcotics, 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of coaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to police reports, on Wednesday June 14, the 8-year-old went into the basement and found Schleicher laying on the basement floor making gargling sounds when trying to breathe.

She reportedly was scared, so she ran upstairs to tell another adult what she saw. When an adult went downstairs to check on Schleicher, they found him sitting unresponsive on the bathroom floor.
When they couldn't wake him, they called 911.

According to police, when they arrived, they noticed that Schleicher's eyes were barely open, and detected a heavy pulse. Officers and rescue personnel administered Schleicher, which revived him. They transported him to the hospital. Prior to transport, offiers located numerous drug paraphernalia.
At the hospital, officers found a brown powdery substance and a white chunky substance folded into newspaper in Schleicher's wallet, the criminal complaint stated, and stated they were heroin and crack cocaine, his criminal complaint stated.
