STURTEVANT, WI — 81-year-old Pearl M. Bridges is one fearless Nana!
The brave great-grandmother decided to participate in the family’s quarterly outing by jumping out of a plane from 15,000 feet in the air, as her children and grandchildren watched from below
After an hour and a half of weather delays, Bridges was asked if she was still going through with the jump and she replied, “Most definitely!”

The tandem jump over the skies of Sturtevant was completed with the assistance of Matthew Yount who coached and guided Bridges every step of the way including a safe landing at Skydive Midwest’s drop zone.
“Yes, I made it!” Bridges shouted as she waved to cheering friends, family, and staff who watched her from the safe-zone.

“By the time I made it in the air I had forgotten all of the training instructions. However, Matt was patient and talked me through every step of way. He was kind, confident, and evidently very skilled to put up with me. I also want to say thank-you to Ryan Katchmar the young man who took pictures and videos.”
Bridges stated that she enjoyed the experience, but will leave future skydiving activities to her grand and great-grandkids.
