Ascension To Break Ground On $42 Million Medical Center This Week
Mount Pleasant Plan Commission approved plans for the two-story, 72,000-square-foot medical center in mid-December.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI -- After unseasonably warm temperatures over the last few days, it's going to be a whole lot easier to plunge a ceremonial shovel into the earth as officials from Ascension celebrate the first steps of building a new $42 million medical health center.
Earlier in 2018, Ascension Wisconsin announced they were planning on constructing a $42 million medical center in Sturtevant on the northeast corner of Highway 20 and Highway H at the site of the former Floortech building.
The Mount Pleasant Plan Commission approved plans for the two-story, 72,000-square-foot medical center in mid-December.

Along with primary, specialty and urgent care, the new state-of-the-art center will offer on-site laboratory and imaging services, rehabilitation, occupational health and an outpatient surgery center. The Ascension Racine Medical Center is expected to open in early 2020.
On Friday, Feb. 8, Ascension Wisconsin leaders, physicians, associates and invited guests will celebrate the groundbreaking for the new center.

Officials say the Ascension Racine Medical Center is part of Ascension Wisconsin’s multi-year, multi-pronged commitment to create more convenient and affordable access points for its patients throughout the state.
