Authorities Take Down Notorious Racine Drug House: Report

A 22-year-old man faces numerous drug-related charges after his arrest early Thursday. Authorities found more than 80 grams of cocaine.

RACINE, WI — Authorities in Racine County say they've conducted a drug bust and taken down one of the city's more notorious drug houses.

On May 17 , at about 6 a.m., agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, the Racine County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T and K-9 officer executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of N Memorial.

Sheriff's officials say information had been developed that the suspect at this residence was a known gang member and involved in the sale of powdered cocaine. Authorities conducted a search and located 81.5 grams of cocaine, 1.4 grams of marijuana, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, ammunition, numerous cell phones and $2,391.00.

There was also another family with a young child residing in the residence, authorities said. The Racine County Human Services Department was contacted under the drug endangered children protocol.

Jose Vazquez, a 22-year old resident of Racine County was arrested and now faces the following charge recommendations:

  • Possession of cocaine with intent to deliver while armed
  • Repeat drug offender
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Keeper of a drug place
  • Possession of a firearm by felon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • State Probation hold for Robbery with threat of force
