Back The Badge Event At Franksville Craft Beer Garden
A percent of the proceeds will go to local police departments to spend as needed.
From Hop Heads Hospitality & Events: The Franksville Craft Beer Garden (FCBG) will host the second annual Back the Badge Weekend June 27-30 as part of their Pay-It Forward Campaign to give back to the community. 15% of proceeds from the weekend will be going to local police departments (split between Caledonia, Mt. Pleasant & Racine County) for them to use where needed. Additionally, all police officers, from any department, will receive one free beer from the beer garden.
“Our law enforcement community deserves our support, everyday. We are excited to continue this annual tradition of celebrating and supporting these brave officers.“ said co-owner Molly Michel. The Beer Garden has had the event on the calendar for months, but in the wake of the recent loss of Officer John Hetland, the event seemed more important than ever. “We gave the event a lot of thought and wondered if it should be changed, but after consulting with many officer friends we realized the opportunity to show our support was more important than ever right now.” explained co-owner Ken Michel Jr.
The event will include Live Music on Friday from 6-9 PM from local country band Koltrane Acoustic, and Saturday from 6-9PM from Marr’Lo & Nicolette Parada. Additionally, the first of the Beer Garden’s “Food Truck Nights” will be part of Friday night’s plans from 5-9 PM, with 5-6 food trucks on hand to grab dinner from. The FCBG will have over 16 taps of Wisconsin Craft Beer, wine, and other beverages available. Pine Acres Food Truck will join the beer garden all weekend with their famous Waffles (On a Stick!), gourmet popcorn and other delicious offerings. Sunday will feature a kid-focused way to honor heroes with “Superhero Day” from 2-5PM. The afternoon will feature superhero games and activities, as well as make-your-own capes and masks. “We hope that we can connect the idea of a hero in kid’s minds to the everyday heroes of our police departments” explained Michel.

“We really hope that we can help make a difference in the community with our Pay-It Forward Campaigns,” said Molly Michel. So far the beer garden has donated to park improvements, Mount Pleasant and Caledonia Parks & Rec Departments, Veteran’s Outreach of WI, the Kids’ Connection Playground, and several other projects.
The Franksville Craft Beer Garden is Racine County’s first and only permanent Beer Garden and is open every weekend through the end of September. The Beer Garden is located in the Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Memorail Park on Northwestern Ave. in Franksville.
