Beth Israel Sinai Congregation To Host Memorial Service
The memorial will be held in memory of the victims of the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue shooting over the weekend.

RACINE, WI -- Beth Israel Sinai Congregation, 3009 Washington Ave. in Racine is having a memorial service Saturday, Nov.3, 2018 at 10 a.m. for the shooting victims of Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. The Public is Welcome.
A gunman, armed with an assault rifle and three handguns, opened fire at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill neighborhood on Saturday, Oct. 27,, killing at least 11 people and injuring six others in what the Anti-Defamation League described as likely "the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States."
On Monday, the man responsible for the massacre, Robert Bowers, 46, of Pittsburgh, was in federal court for an initial hearing. Shackled and in a wheelchair after being wounded by police, the accused gunman was informed of the murder and hate crime charges against him.

Police say that he entered the Tree of Life synagogue just before 10 a.m. on Saturday, armed with an AR-15 and three handguns. The accused gunman shot and killed 11 people and wounded six others, including four police officers, before police stopped him, according to federal court documents.
