'The Boxcar Children' To Open At Racine Theatre Guild
The adventures of "The Boxcar Children" will come to life on the stage at the Racine Theatre Guild starting on Friday, April 6.
RACINE, WI – The adventures of “The Boxcar Children” will come to life on the stage at the Racine Theatre Guild starting on Friday, April 6. This production's run will continue through Sunday, April 15.
Performances take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors (62+), and $13 for students (21 & under). Further savings are offered to groups of 12 or more.
Tickets can be purchased from the Racine Theatre Guild located at 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine. Call (262) 633-4218, visit www.racinetheatre.org, or stop by the box office weekdays from 12 to 6 p.m. and 90 minutes prior to each performance for tickets.

Play Synopsis From the Racine Theatre Guild
Orphaned and in danger of going to different foster homes, Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny
Alden run away and make an abandoned railroad boxcar their home. Pursued by the authorities
and a mysterious stranger, the children discover the rewards and perils of life the run. Their
strength, ingenuity, and bravery are challenged, but their resolve to stay together as a family
defies all odds.

Based on the book by Gertrude Chandler Warner and adapted for the stage by Barbara Field,
RTG’s production is directed by Kara Ernst-Schalk. The Alden children will be played by Petr
Jaros (Henry), Lilli Postuchow (Jessie), Anika Pachniak (Violet), and Jaden Talley (Benny).
Also joining the cast is Erin Barnlund as Sarah, Art Dexter as Mr. Alden, Ryan Simonsen as Dr.
Samuel Truman, Nancy Bonelli as Mrs. Truman, Henry Grady as Officer Banning, Jim McClure
as Big Mike, Phil Lyden as Cookie, and William Nathan Bourne as The Kid.
