Racine Lutheran Ladies’ Guild Grants Scholarships

Each year, the Racine Lutheran High School Ladies’ Guild awards scholarships to two students on the basis of academic achievement in their freshman year, plus community service and Christian character. This year’s recipients are Sam Theuer and Madeline Michael; each will receive a $500 scholarship for the coming school year.

With a current GPA of 4.33, Madeline shows a strong commitment to academic excellence. She also represents the school as a Student Ambassador and serves on Student Council. Madeline finds time to play on the volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams and is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Sam is also a high achiever academically, with a current GPA of 4.33. He serves as a Student Ambassador and is a member of Student Council and the Drama Club. Sam’s busy schedule includes team sports of soccer and basketball. He worships at Trinity Lutheran Church.  

Principal David Burgess says, “Congratulations to both scholarship recipients. They are on the right track for success in higher education and in life.

“At Racine Lutheran, we encourage students to excel academically, pursue special interests, and be active in their churches and community. It is part of being well rounded and well grounded.

“We thank the Ladies’ Guild for encouraging excellence in our students and supporting the school financially. Each year, these special volunteers make a difference in the lives of Racine teens who may become tomorrow’s community leaders.”
