Several years ago I was introduced to scrapbooking at an in-home scrapbook party. I had no idea what it was about and had no idea what I was in for. I brought along a few pictures as instructed and paid my $10. I quickly realized how addicting this venture was going to be. Several hundred dollars and years later I am in full force with a slew of family and friends. I had no idea that it would go from an in-home scrapbook parties to a scrapbooking cruise!
Now I haven't booked the cruise yet, but it's tempting. Scrapbooking and paper crafting has certainly changed my life. I find excuses to spend time with my friends and loved ones as opposed to just getting together to consume alcohol. We feel we have a much higher purpose and of course more paper cuts. It does come with good times and good laughter.
At one point in time I event went as far as to selling my "scrap" at vendor fairs. Unfortunately, consumers love what you make but aren't always willing to pay for your time investment in those treasures. So at this point it’s just back to scrapping for myself and loved ones that appreciate my handmade treasures. Stick around and I'll share some of my paper scraps along with tips for crafting. I'm no expert and everything I know has been self-taught or I learned from my neighboring scrappers. Regardless, there are some fun stories and ideas along the way.
