Christmas Fudge: O&H Danish Bakery Debuts New Chocolate Kringle
The bakery is also planning on hosting a Toys for Tots drive at its Mt. Pleasant location this weekend.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — Christmas is right around the corner, and to mark the holiday season, O&H Danish Bakery in Mount Pleasant is debuting its newest Christmas kringle.
Fudge lovers can rejoice at the sight of the business's newest holiday pastry. It's inspired by the "Ohhhh Fudge!" layer cake that the bakery makes, which is itself based on the iconic film "A Christmas Story," according to a news release from the business.
The process of making the Christmas Fudge Kringle starts out with premium dark chocolate that O&H uses to make their own fudge from scratch, which is then filled into the "tender and flaky" kringle pastry. The kringles are baked and then frosted in chocolate icing. Red, green and white nonpareils top the festive sweet treat.

To celebrate the unveiling of the new chocolate treat, O&H has planned a Toys for Tots drive and a visit from Santa on Saturday and Sunday.
"Just like Ralphie in 'A Christmas Story,' we know how much children look forward to presents on Christmas morning. As another nod to the classic film, we thought the best way to celebrate the Christmas Fudge Kringle is to bring that joy to children in the Racine area by partnering with Tex Reynolds’ Toys for Tots," Eric Olesen, the third-generation co-owner of the Racine, Wisconsin-based bakery, said in a news release.

"We are proud members of this generous community and are thrilled to be a part of families’ celebrations across the country through our Kringle and other desserts," Olesen added in the statement.
The fudge kringle will be available in stores and online from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31. O&H Bakery says the holiday season is its busiest time of the year. The business anticipates being busy. Up to 7,000 kringles per day are made during this time of year.

Participate In Toys For Tots and Meet Santa
The toy drive will benefit Racine's Tex Reynold's Toys for Tots campaign. People are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped puzzles, sporting goods, games and toys meant for kids up to 10-years-old. The campaign, led by a non-profit, will provide toys to kids across Racine who may otherwise not have the opportunity.
The event takes place Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. both days, at O&H's 5910 Washington Avenue location in Mount Pleasant. The shop also said it plans on hosting Santa.
The big man, his sleigh and his elf helper will be available during the event for professional photos. Free downloads of the photos will be available.
