Do It For Rudi: Local Sub Shop to Help South Shore Firefighter

Help South Shore Fire Department member Rudi Betancourt on his road to recovery from Hodgkins Lymphoma.

MOUNT PLEASANT - Firehouse Subs Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin is rallying behind one of the community’s local heroes, South Shore Fire Department member Rudi Betancourt.

The young firefighter is currently battling Hodgkins Lymphoma and undergoing chemotherapy, which has kept him from serving actively with the department.

In an effort to support Betancourt on his road to recovery, Firehouse Subs will be donating 15 percent of its sales on Saturday, May 28, from 2 – 9 p.m. to help with Betancourt’s medical bills and expenses.
