21-Year-Old Died As Rescuers Tried To Save Her On I-41: Police
The driver of a car collided with a semi-trailer near I-41 in Racine County. The 21-year-old woman died as rescuers tried freeing her.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — A sheriff's deputy in Racine County witnessed a fatal crash between a semi and a car early Sunday, and the driver of the car died while rescuers feverishly attempted to free her from the crumpled car, officials said.
On Monday, authorities identified the driver of that car as 21-year-old Shauntia Renel Brooks Dobbs of Racine
According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, on Sunday, Nov. 26, just after 9 a.m., a Racine County Sheriff's deputy witnessed a semi-tractor and trailer get struck by a car on Highway 11 at the northbound entrance ramp with I-41, which runs north-south in Racine County.

According to Sheriff's officials, rescue personnel responded with Flight for Life. While rescue crews were working on freeing Dobbs from inside the car,Dobbs died as a result of her injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
A preliminary investigation by the Racine County Sheriff's office after lifesaving measures were attempted indicated that the semi was driving westbound on Highway 11 and was making a left turn toward the onramp of I-41 to head north when an eastbound car struck the trailer portion of the semi and became wedged under the trailer.

Sheriff's officials say that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
