Drug-Sniffing Dog Sniffs Out Chicago Drug Runner On I-94

The man told deputies he bought the marijuana for $5,500 and was on his way to Milwaukee.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Sheriff's deputies in Racine County stopped a vehicle on an apparent moving violation, only to find that the driver was transporting marijuana to Milwaukee from Chicago.

On Tuesday, Jan. 23 just before 8:30 p.m., a Racine County K9 unit pulled over a 2016 Nissan 4 door
sedan for lane deviation and following too closely behind another vehicle on I-94 at Highway 20 in Racine County.

When the deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Christian Olvera of Chicago, the deputy could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the interior cabin of the vehicle. When the deputy searched the vehicle with the help of a police drug-sniffing dog, the deputy located two large bags of marijuana being concealed in the vehicle, wrapped up in a bed quilt that was in a clear zippered bag.
