Drunk Driver Gets Into Head-On Crash With 16-Year-Old Driver in Racine County

According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, a 35-year-old male crossed the centerline on A, striking the driver and her adult passenger

On Sunday, August 07, 2016 at approximately 1950 hours the Racine County Dispatch Center received 911 calls that there was a two vehicle head on collision in the 20800 block of CTH A in the Town of Yorkville.

Racine County deputies arrived on scene as well Union Grove-Yorkville Fire and Rescue It was found that a Dodge Intrepid sedan which was driven by a licensed 35 year old male was traveling westbound on CTH A and crossed the center line.

The Dodge collided with a Ford Fusion sedan which was driven by an unlicensed 16 year old female who was traveling eastbound on CTH A. The Ford was also occupied by a 34 year old male who was allowing the 16 year old to drive.

Both drivers sustained arm injures and were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine. The accident still remains under investigation and it appears alcohol was a factor.
