MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A Sturtevant man faces prison time after he reportedly drove drunk the wrong way on I-894, and directly into the path of a Wisconsin State Trooper.
According to the criminal complaint, a Wisconsin State Trooper was traveling in his squad west on I-894 on the night of Jan. 1. As the trooper was coming around the corner to turn off onto exit 1B, a single lane off ramp which leads to I-94 westbound, he observed a 2009 Chevrolet heading directly towards his squad on the ramp traveling the wrong way.
The Trooper immediately activated his emergency lights and the oncoming vehicle stopped a few car lengths before his squad. The Trooper made contact with the driver, Brian Trudeau of Sturtevant, Wis., and observed him to have glassy red eyes.
