RACINE, WI — After losing out on the busing contract with the Racine Unified School District for the 2019-2020 school year, Durham School Services announced they're laying off more than 200 employees.

According to a notice posted by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Durham will lay off 191 school bus driver/monitors, 10 shop personnel and 10 office/administrative staff.

On April 1, the Racine Unified School District Board unanimously voted to go with First Student of Cincinnati as their transportation company instead of Durham, which had provided busing for more than 20 years.
