Food from more than 13 local establishments, entertainment and children activities

Featured vendors include: Sugar Shack, Top Dog Hot Dogs, Jose’s Blue Sombrero, Mario’s Italian Sports Bar, Whey Chai Chinese Restaurant, Taste of Soul, Famous Dave’s, Little Europa, John’s Dock, Envi, The Pink Magnolia, The Captain’s Galley and 20 & Oakes. O&H kringle and fresh roasted corn will also be available.

Spectrum Art Gallery will be on site to demonstrate drawing and photography techniques as-well-as displaying art work from the gallery and participants from 1000 Words Veterans Art Therapy.

Andis Company is partnering with Sports Clips and will provide consultation and haircuts using their fine line of clippers and tools.

The Racine Zoo will also feature a small animal exhibit for spectators.

Face-painting artist, Ron Wolfe, will also be present.

Other great guests include Lakeview Chiropractic and you will also be able to learn more about the services provided at Family Service of Racine and our exciting program, Ways to Work.

Musical Entertainment will feature Racine’s own Night Wing, Group Therapy, and Cheryl McCray. Scheduled throughout the day on the main stage will be the ever popular ice cream eating contest for children, sponsored by Sugar Shack and two new events, a hot dog eating contest sponsored by Top Dog Hot Dogs and a spaghetti eating contest sponsored by Mario’s Italian Sports Bar. We also have our 3rd annual Mascot Race!

Special guests will include Miss Black Wisconsin, 2011 –Sha-Nita Rhea, Miss Racine 2011 – Brittny Henderson and Miss Racine’s Outstanding Teen 2011- Ashely Monti. 

Children’s activities include the Carpetland bouncer, CNH pedal tractors, inflatable rock climbing wall, the newly installed playground at the Zoo and face painters. 

Family Service of Racine just celebrated their 100th anniversary last year. 2011 marks a new beginning as they step into their second century of service to the Racine community.

Racine Zoo admission applies and is $1.00 for Racine County residents.

Family Service of Racine is a non-profit agency offering mental wellness counseling to over 2,000 persons annually.  Proceeds from the Taste of Racine fundraising event allow the agency to provide family strengthening programs to Racine’s under-served populations. Taste of Racine is sponsored in part by CNH.  The agency is funded in part by the United Way of Racine County, via contributions and donations and via contracts and agreements.
