For March, the free BONK! monthly performance series presents poets Daniel Khalastchi and Zach Savich as well as musicians Folkswagon Bug.

Khalastchi is a first-generation Iraqi-Jewish-American who is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Marquette University; his first collection of poetry, Manoleria (2011), won the Tupelo Press/Crazyhorse First Book Prize. Savich is the author of three books of poetry who has won numerous awards; his poems, essays, and reviews appear widely.

Folkswagon Bug comprises three members of Racine's 5-piece Americana band Folkswagon, which features music by singer/songwriter Rachelle Van Offeren; they regularly play at local venues and recently recorded their first album, Fresh Fruit.
