Chancellor Deborah Ford to Discuss Future of Education

University of Wisconsin-Parkside Chancellor Deborah Ford will discuss the future of education – including higher education’s role in meeting the goals set by President Obama – noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at Gateway Technical College’s Elkhorn Campus, 400 County Road H, Elkhorn.

Ford will deliver her remarks in Room 112 of the South Building on the campus. Her presentation is the final of a three-part speakers’ series held in conjunction with the celebration of Gateway Technical College’s 100-year anniversary.

Ford’s presentation will include answering the question of why it’s important to increase the number of area graduates from technical and four-year colleges.

The presentation is free and open to the public, especially to area educators, who are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served 11:30 a.m. to noon.
